The following are examples of assessment used in my classroom:
- Science Logs are used as informal assessment to see why or how.
- To measure the students achievement Unit and Chapter tests are given as forms of summative assessment.
- Formative assessment of homework and Quizes provide feedback about what a student has learned so far and show areas of weakness, which help me plan future lessons.
- I use holistic scoring where each element of the students work is used to assess the total quality and receives one score, Rubrics are given to the student at the beginning so that the student knows the quality expectations of the work to be done
